The home is made up of sixty-five permanent places, seventeen of which are in our memory support unit. Surrounding the home there are nineteen independent living units.
The Care Team at John Curtin actively supports your right to lifestyle choice and independence by offering residential care and housing options that can be tailored to meet your, or your loved one’s, specific needs and aspirations.
Our experienced staff have qualifications in Certificate III in Aged Care, Enrolled Nursing or Registered Nursing, some with post graduate qualifications. We also have allied health professionals, lifestyle and wellbeing staff, a chef and hospitality staff, maintenance, gardening and administrative staff. We have our own cleaning team, and all laundry, including bed linen, is done in house.
Retirement Village
The Curtin Independent Living Units are a Licence/ Lease Retirement Village. A waiting list applies and units are allocated by position on that list. It is intended to increase the number of units in the future.

Single rooms
All rooms are single with private ensuite. There is a range of sizes from standard through to premium.
Allied health
Access to occupational therapy, massage, physiotherapy, dietitian, podiatry as required and other specialities by referral.
Homestyle meals
Delicious meals, home cooked daily from fresh produce, using home grown fruit and vegetables as available.
Activities & outings
We offer wellness and lifestyle activities that promote healthy ageing. Our wheelchair accessible mini bus is available for social outings.
Function Room
The Bill Huntley function room is the heart of entertainment, hosting events, games, movies, concerts and parties.
Café Curtin
Our café, open to the public, provides lunches and snacks 7 Days a week 10am to 5pm. Please see the Cafe Curtin Facebook page below for any updates on hours
Library & internet
We have a range of large print and audio books, videos and DVD collections. Smart TVs and WiFi access are available in all rooms.
Gymnasium
We have a fully equipped gymnasium with weekly sessions run by our on site physiotherapist
