Vaccination Update
Winter Vaccination
Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) recommends an additional COVID-19 vaccine dose before winter for residents in aged care facilities. This recommended COVID-19 winter vaccine dose will bolster residents’ protection from severe illness, hospitalisation or death from COVID-19 over the winter season.
ATAGI recommends aged care residents receive their COVID-19 winter dose from four months after their initial booster dose. The annual influenza vaccinations is also recommended.
John Curtin Aged Care will hold their COVID-19 winter vaccine dose on Friday, 29 April 2022. These vaccination clinics will occur onsite and will be completed by ASPEN Medical Care.
